The HID OMNIKEY 5427 CK (Gen2) Dual Frequency Smart Card Reader is a USB Contactless Reader which is impressively able to support both low and high frequency technology. This capability is particularly helpful if you are looking for an easy reader to integrate into your existing mixed technology environment.
This reader operates by standard as a CCID Reader, with an optional ‘keyboard wedge' mode. In this mode data can be retrieved and inserted directly into applications or sent to other devices through use of keystroke emulation, as if typed manually.
A browser-based configuration tool is also available, providing access to various features and functions. Dedicated drivers and a configuration guide are available to download, direct from HID as needed.
Meeting both the ISO 14443 A/B and the ISO 15693 standards, you can be sure that this is a reliable choice of dual frequency smart card reader.
