MIFARE Classic EV1 1K Wooden Cards

MIFARE Classic, the pioneer in contactless smart cards operating in the 13.56Mhz range is the flagship product in the MIFARE family. It began the contactless revolution, paving the way for contactless cards in a wide range of applications including access management, employee ID, student ID, public transport, event ticketing, cashless vending and more.

MIFARE Classic EV1 is the latest evolution of this popular contactless technology and succeeds all previous versions of the technology.

These cards are produced with renewable woods, in place of the traditional PVC, resulting in a more sustainable and environmentally friendly card, as wooden cards require less energy during manufacture (when compared to PVC) and due to their ability to biodegrade when no longer required, without leaving harmful toxins behind.

As well as their environmental benefits, these cards are also an interesting and attractive alternative to standard PVC cards, adding visual interest and standing out from the masses of standard PVC cards.

All wood used in the manufacturing of these cards is FSC approved, keeping with the environmentally friendly and sustainable nature of these PVC alternatives.

Constructed compliant to ISO standards, these MIFARE Classic EV1 cards are CR80 size (standard credit card size) with a thickness of approximately 1.4mm / 0.055” and are NOT suitable for printing in standard ID Card Printers but can be personalised to your requirements, at the point of manufacture, either with laser engraving, colour printing or a combination of the two.
